A practical example. A leading supplier of rain barrels sees new opportunities in the market for rainwater collection and reuse. The limited space of a traditionally available rain barrel often poses problems. Hence, they approached TreMalin to collaborate on developing a rain barrel that would serve as an attractive alternative and be multifunctional. During this discussion, the idea for the Wall Tank was born. It will be available in 2 sizes to cater to a wide audience.
Step 2 is the technical realization. Once it has been determined which blow molding machine is best suited, a technical drawing is made for the mold. The manufacturing of a mold is a costly investment and requires precise research. TreMalin is highly experienced in this process and exclusively collaborates with partners who meet our high-quality standards.
Once the mold is ready, production can commence. However, this process is not as simple as it may seem. Together with the customer, we determine the most suitable type of raw material for the product. TreMalin strives to use as much recycled plastic as possible. Often, this is supplemented with new material, known as virgin plastic. To create different color variations, we use dyes, ensuring that each product meets the customer's color requirements at that time. The mold remains in storage at TreMalin, and any necessary adjustments and maintenance can usually be handled by our in-house technical department.
